About St Barnabas Church

A Modern Place of Worship

1960s St Barnabas is a light, bright, and attractive building.

Our mission is to share the love of God made known In Jesus Christ with others as they journey through life.

Christian faith is about forgiveness and freedom. not fear and guilt. Most importantly, at St Barnabas:

EVERYONE IS WARMLY WELCOMED

The church has an effective heating system. There is a modern sound system with a hearing loop and a large screen TV. There is a toilet!

Refreshments are available after services.

Modern in comparison with our sister church of St James the Less Hadleigh, and in a less prominent location, St Barnabas has the advantage of a good size car park and unrestricted street parking.

Interregnum

The Parish Priest of St Barnabas, and our sister parish St James the Less Hadleigh has retired. The process of appointing a new priest who, like their predecessor, will be in charge of both parishes, has begun. This time of vacancy, before a new appointment is called an interregnum.

For the present, Churchwardens are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of worship and pastoral life.

With help from visiting and retired clergy, and with some very small changes SERVICES WILL CONTINUE  AS BEFORE.

For enquiries, call the Parish Office:

01202 558591 and leave a message.

Or send an email to:

info@stbarnabas-hadleigh.org.uk

You will be contacted.

Weddings
Baptisms
Funerals

Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals will go ahead during the interregnum.

The good news is that The Buzz will continue to be available via this website.

PA RISH PRAYER
Lord God, guide us through this vacancy when changes will be made to things that are familiar.
We pray for patience , understanding and wisdom throughout this period.
May the results prove beneficial in widening our vision, deepening our faith and encouraging growth.
Let us be  prayerfully supportive of our PCCs and the Churchwardens in the decisions they will be making on our behalf.
Although we may feel resistant to these changes, let us remember that it is you at the centre of our faith and you do not change, and are with us at all times, for which we give you our grateful thanks.
Amen
