A CHURCH THAT IS OPEN
St Barnabas is usually open every day 10.00am - 4.00pm
A place of quiet for prayer or reflection or simply to be still
The Church of England Church of St. Barnabas Hadleigh first opened in 1935. St. Barnabas was granted Parish status in 1958 when the attractive modern style building now in use was consecrated.
The original church building is now a church hall, known as the Woodfield Hall. In addition, St Barnabas has a modern church hall, with catering facilities, and a comfortable lounge area
There is ample car parking.
Where We Are
The Church of St. Barnabas is located at the junction of Church Road and Woodfield Road, Hadleigh, Essex (SS7 2EJ) and is on the boundary between Hadleigh in Castle Point and Leigh-on-Sea which is in the Borough of Southend-on-Sea.
It is our vision to see St Barnabas truly alive, reflecting the whole breadth of family life today and reaching out into the community to offer loving Christian support and care. We hope to continue to provide generous support and compassion for mission at home and around the world. We want St Barnabas to be relevant to people and their lives in the 21st century.
We try to give all who come to St Barnabas a warm and friendly welcome. We intend our services to be ENJOYABLE and to present the Christian message in a style that can be READILY UNDERSTOOD. St Barnabas does its best to help the local community and area, and the wider world.
